It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed an I Heart Revolution product, but I just had to share this one with you! I’m always looking to see what they’re bringing out next as they’re pretty much a dupe conveyor belt. If you want to know a bit more about the brand etc. go ahead and check out my other posts (type into the search bar “I Heart Revolution”) I hope you’re all doing fab and on that note, let’s get into it shall we?!
Today, we’re talking about the I Heart Revolution Bronze and Shimmer mini duo palette*. It consists of a powder bronzer and a highlighter. The packaging is adorable, to match their chocolate palette collection. For a drugstore brand, this packaging is really gorgeous and it kind of makes me want to buy them all so they definitely know what they’re doing! It retails at £6, which I think is pretty good for what you get.
The compact comes with a generously sized mirror too, which is perfect for on the go application and for space-saving travel. The pans are also really nicely sized too! Sometimes with duo products, they’re so tiny that you barely have anything to use and there isn’t enough space to get a brush in either, but with this compact you don’t have to worry about that.
Would you look at that! I was so impressed by how beautiful these both looked in their pans, even before I swatched it. I can’t wait to use that bronzer in summer – that reminds me, what are your favourite bronzers for holiday/summer make up looks?
Top – Highlighter, Bottom – Bronzer
These swatches speak for themselves! The bronzer provides the most gorgeous golden-brown glow for an all year round “I’ve just been on holiday” look. I love adding some warmth to my face during Winter too, as I’m not a fan of looking like Wednesday Adams, even if it is December. I also quite like using bronzers with shimmer in them for holidays, as I find that a harsh matte bronzer can look too much (hopefully this make sense, it did in my head). I’ve even used this as an eyeshadow too and it works a treat!
The highlighter is just STUNNING, it’s so pigmented and it sits really well on top of my foundation too! If you’re looking for a great quality, high pigment highlighter and you dont want to spend a fortune I would really recommend giving this a swatch!
Although it’s a short one, I hope you enjoyed this review. Let me know what you think of this product and whether or not you’ve tried it out for yourself. I was also thinking of posting about my staple makeup products for Summer so also let me know whether to not you’d like to see that!
