Hey Everyone,
I hope you’re all doing well! As you might have figured from some of my other posts, I absolutely love candles. I use them every single day! As soon as October rolls around or the slightest hint of orange starts appearing on the trees, I am practically sprinting to my nearest Homesense or T.K Maxx to stock up on autumnal candles. I talked about T.K. Maxx/HomeSense in my homeware post and they have some amazing candles for this season. The fact that autumn comes with its own specific scents is merely an excuse to fund my addiction further.
All but one of the candles I’m showing are from DW home (you’d have thought I was paid me the amount that I bang on about them) and they all cost me £2.99 each. There’s one candle by Pecksniff’s, who are a UK company that sell beautiful fragrances and cosmetics. When I was younger, my mum and I sometimes used to stay in a hotel that provided Pecksniffs products as their toiletries in guests bathrooms. We absolutely loved one of their body lotions, which was made from a blend of nutmeg, geranium, coriander and orange essential oils.
- Caramel Pumpkin – I have never been a fan of the smell of pumpkin, however, when it’s mixed with scents that compliment it, it smells so good! There are delicious hints of caramel, toffee and vanilla as well pumpkin in this candle, I LOVE IT.
- Blackcurrant Pumpkin – There’s something so warm and rich about a blackcurrant scent, the smell of berries mixes so well with vanilla and pumpkin making the perfect candle for autumn.
- Salted Caramel – I feel like 2017 swept in a craze for salted caramel, whether that was in coffees, chocolate bars and room sprays- it was everywhere. When I smelt this, my mind immediately took me to a sweet shop, filled with fudge, toffees and caramels (which kind of reminded me of Werther’s Originals).
- Pumpkin Spice – There’s nothing that smells more like a crisp autumnal day than this. The scent is rounded out with buttery notes of vanilla and the warm spices of pumpkin and cinnamon.
- Pumpkin & Spiced Maple – This smells unreal and it’s so long-lasting. Walking back into the room after it’s been lit for a while, you are hit with warm and inviting hints of pumpkin and cinnamon.
- Pumpkin – I was a little bit terrified of this candle given I don’t particularly enjoy (understatement) the smell of pumpkins anyway. However I was pleasantly surprised, it smells so good and works so well during autumn. It’s definitely one for a cosy evening in, as it’s such a comforting and warm scent.
- White Pumpkin – This candle smells like a creamy mix of cupcakes complimented with nuances of toasted nutmeg, spicy cinnamon and of course, even more, pumpkin (surprise surprise)
I hope this inspired all the candle lovers amongst you and I will be posting something similar to Christmas candles as that’s a whole different thing altogether. I would love to hear about what scents you like to have around your house during Autumn- let me know as I’m always looking to try and buy new candles (any excuse).
N xxxx
These look great, big fan of candles. The caramel pumpkin one is right up my street.
Thanks so much! Smells amazing! Would definitely recommend checking their range out.
These all sound incredible! Can I pick them up in store somewhere? I need the blackcurrant pumpkin!
Homesense or TK Maxx will have them! They’re more expensive directly from their site but they are available online x
I love candles so this post was right up my street. Homesense has been a new discovery since moving back to the UK – a very dangerous one for my bank account!! 😀
Isn’t it amazing! I’m addicted- I’ll be posting a post for Christmas candles too so keep an eye out xx
You have definitely found some unique aromas in those candles. I would love to try the Blackcurrant Pumpkin one. I can’t believe they are so cheap, usually this type of candles cost so much.
Blackcurrant pumpkin! This sounds amazing! Do you prefer candles or wax melts? X
I’ve never actually used wax melts, I’ve heard they’re great but I’ve always been drawn to candles! I think it’s probably the packaging and lack of mess that I like.
Homesense are the best for candles. I bought a few of the pumpkin ones from there this year but I now have so many to use x
I get through so many of them! My flat smells so autumnal I love it!
I loved this post! I have a real candle obsession and I love trying different ones! I hate it when I’m disappointed by one though!
These are worth it I promise, I haven’t had a bad one yet! x
OMG I LOVE HOW ALL OF THEM HAVE PUMPKINS IN! I am definitely intrigued by the smell of the blackberry pumpkin x
It’s soooo nice, it smells pretty good for winter too a actually x
For me I would love the blackcurrant pumpkin or salted caramel. I do love to have candles lit in the darker months although with a baby we have to wait until she is fast asleep in bed to be safe!
Salted caramel is my favourite scent, I love anything that smells like fudge or toffee. Aww, at least you have some time to light them in the evenings!
These sound great. I love candles especially in autumn and winter as they give off that nice cozy feel
They’re so perfect for cosy days in when it’s freezing or pouring it down outside plus they get rid of the smell of cooking so quickly x
I love candles, especially as we head into autumn – so this is a great post for me as its given me a whole new load of candles I want to buy! I especially love the sound of that blackcurrant pumpkin one!
I’m glad! Keep an eye out for my winter post as I have some candles in stock for it including a candy cane one! The black currant pumpkin one seems so popular!
I’ve not heard of this brand before and now I want to try them all! I am currently burning a woodwick hot toddy candle and it is lush. I would like o try the white pumpkin one first
They’re really great, there’s always new scents coming out too! The white pumpkin one is delicious!
I love candles, the caramel pumpkin one sounds amazing! x
Smells so sweet it’s amazing x
Blackcurrant pumpkin sounds amazing I nerd to locate this scent and give it a good sniff. I love candles and wax melts and even turn candle left overs into wax melts to get the most out of them x
I hope you can find it, they have loads online so might be worth checking out their site! Oooh I’ve never thought of doing that! How do you make them into wax melts without making a mess? x
So many lovely candle scents. I love the sound of salted caramel!
It’s amazing!
£2.99? What an absolute bargain! Would love to try the caramel pumpkin as like you I’m not the biggest pumpkin fan, but the sweet caramel notes could sway me.
Seems too good to be true doesn’t it? Yeah pumpkin is usually bit hit and miss with me but they have nailed it with these candles x
I love candles especially in the Winter. Not smelt pumpkin before but smelt a nice cinnamon candle recently. Salted caramel must be lovely!!!
It’s my favourite time of year to have candles all over around my flat! So cosy and relaxing! xx
I made a candle at a Hobbycraft event recently and the scent was Tangerine Prosecco and it’s the best candle I’ve ever smelt. I love the bargain price of these, may have to get some Salted Caramel candles for my mum and sister
Oooh I like the sound of that! Yeah grab some whilst you can, they should still have some in stock! x
I adore candles too, the blackcurrant pumpkin sounds so wonderful, I would love that in my kitchen.
Works a charm with getting rid of the smell of cooking! x
We love the smell of cinnamon so the last two candles would be our favourites!
Aww I would definitely recommend checking them out! x
I’ve never come across any of these candles before! They sound amazing though. I’d love the pumpkin one as I love the smell of pumpkins. (I can totally understand why you don’t though – I consider it to be like marmite: you either love it, or hate it).
Louise x
Yeah definitely, I think it’s hot or miss really but these candles suddenly make it such an appealing scent! Give them a try x
I love scented candles and these just scream autumn. You can never have too many scented candles in my opinion.
